PRINCIPLE No 1 [What is nutrition?]

There are two parts to the word 'nutrition':
¨ MINERAL Essential Nutrition
¨ ENERGY Critical Nutrition

PRINCIPLE No 2 [How do deficiencies occur?]

b EXCESS = Deficiency

PRINCIPLE No 3 [How do deficiencies cause diseases?]

¨ DEFICIENCY = Disease

PRINCIPLE No 4 [Why the deficiency?]

Most mineral deficiencies fall into two general categories:

a] A STRAIGHT deficiency
b] AN INDUCED deficiency

GENERAL RULE: Most deficiencies are induced and seldom come in "single" deficiencies.

PRINCIPLE No 5 [How to overcome a deficiency]

To increase "available" elemental levels there are two choices:

  • CHANGE the availability of what is present or
  • ADD more of the needed element*

GENERAL RULE: *Adding elements includes a risk factor, due to the "desired" elements being accompanied or contaminated by unwanted elements which can adversely interact with other elements or pollute / poison the living organism[s].
